Jingdong Meat Pies

Jingdong meat pies are a Muslim food. Their fillings contain fresh mutton and assorted seasonings. Cakes with a diameter of 60-70 centimeters are rubbed smooth with a soft cover as thin as paper and contain a layer of meat. The surface of the pie is baked on a flat pan applied with thin cooking oil into something that is in golden color, and has a silky, fresh taste with no greasiness.
Lama Cakes

Lama cakes are another traditional Tianjin snack. To make the cakes, sugar is added with eggs and mixed with flour until the mixture resembles a beehive. The mixture is then placed in a steaming oven drawer until it baked golden. Lama cakes taste sweet and are rich in nutrition.
Lu Ji Fried Rice Cakes (Lu Ji Tang Mian Zha Gao)

"Lu ji" fried rice cakes were invented in 1918 and are a traditional Muslim food. Unlike "er duo yan" and other fried rice cakes, "lu ji" requires its dough made with boiling water before rubbing. Cooks then knead the dough into smaller pieces and make them contain sweet fillings such as red beans, haws and sugar before frying them. The finished rice cakes taste soft and crisp. Seniors and children alike especially enjoy "lu ji".
