Chairman of the BFSU Council Professor Yang Xueyi Visited ACC

On 13 July 2012, Professor Yang Xueyi, Chairman of the Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) Council, paid a visit to ASEAN-China Centre. Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang met with Prof. Yang and hosted a lunch in honor of the guests.

Secretary-General Ma briefed the guests on the structure and development of ACC. He thanked Prof. Yang for the strong support of the BFSU to ACC, including co-organizing the ASEAN Ambassadors’ Lecture Series and sending volunteers to participate in ACC’s activities. Secretary-General Ma expressed the hope that ACC would deepen cooperation with BFSU.

Prof. Yang said that BFSU had some advantages in the promotion of ASEAN-China cooperation. Among the 54 kinds of language courses set up by BFSU, almost all the languages of the ASEAN Member States are covered. He pointed out that the cooperation with ACC had created practical opportunities for teaching and research of BFSU, and BFSU had strong willing to work closely with ACC.

Prof. Yang on behalf of BRSU presented to ACC more than 50 books published by BFSU.
