Foreign Minister of Thailand Visited ASEAN-China Centre

On 4 July 2012, Dr. Surapong Tovichakchaikul, Foreign Minister of Thailand, leading a delegation of twenty officials, paid a visit to ASEAN-China Centre. Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang of ACC met with Foreign Minister Surapong.

Secretary-General Ma first expressed welcome and thanks to Foreign Minister Surapong and briefed on the structure and development of ACC, especially the information and activities offered by ACC recently to promote ASEAN-China cooperation in trade, education and tourism. He said that ACC would fulfill its tasks to enhance two-way flow investment, bilateral trade and people-to-people contact between ASEAN and China.

Foreign Minister Surapong said that ACC held many important activities, which were very helpful and fruitful to enhance trade volume and mutual understanding between ASEAN and China. As the coordinating country between ASEAN and China in the future three years, Thailand will continue to strongly support ACC in personnel, fund, activity and etc.

Foreign Minister Surapong also presented an oil painting reflecting Thai people’s life to ACC and took group photo with the staff of ACC.
