Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang Meets With the Delegation Headed by Director Zhao Huimin of the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government

On August 9, 2012, Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang met with Director Zhao Huimin and Deputy Director Tian Yan of the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government. The two sides exchanged views on advancing China-ASEAN cooperation across-the-board and cooperation between Beijing and ASEAN countries in particular. 

Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang briefed the visitors on the establishment, organizational structure, work and role of the ACC and expressed the willingness to actively cooperate with the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipality on facilitating Beijing businesses’ access to the ASEAN market. 

Director Zhao Huimin hoped to strengthen cooperation with the ACC with a view to enhancing the economic, cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation between Beijing and ASEAN and providing services to Beijing businesses “going global” and tapping into the ASEAN market.
