Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang Paid an Official Call on Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry

On March 13, Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang, who was attending the meeting of the ASEAN-China Joint Cooperation Committee in Jakarta, paid an official call on Deputy Minister Agus Tjahajana of the Ministry of Industry of Indonesia. They exchanged views on deepening China-ASEAN economic cooperation and trade, especially trade and two-way investment between China and Indonesia.

The two happily recalled their meeting during the China-ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting 2011 and put forward concrete proposals on how to enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation. Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang made a brief introduction about what the ASEAN-China Center (ACC) has done since its establishment a year ago, highlighting the ACC’s great efforts and useful attempts in promoting China-ASEAN trade and investment. He expressed the hope of conducting practical cooperation with relevant government agencies and businesses in ASEAN, in a bid to provide good one-stop service to China-ASEAN trade and investment.

Deputy Industrial Minister Agus warmly welcomed Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang and spoke highly of the ACC’s work in the past year. He was looking forward to more practical cooperation as well as a closer cooperative relationship with the ACC.
