China-Indonesia Vocational College Cooperation Seminar Was Held in Jakarta

On March 26, the ASEAN-China Center (ACC), the Indonesian Embassy in China and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Open Learning Center (SEAMOLEC) co-hosted China-Indonesia Vocational College Cooperation Seminar in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia.

The ACC organized a delegation representing 11 vocational colleges of Guizhou, Henan, Jiangsu, Sichuan and other provinces to the seminar. They had a heated discussion with representatives from 52 Indonesian vocational colleges and high schools on exchanging teachers and students, recruiting graduates from Indonesian vocational high schools and other issues and signed several memorandums of cooperation and letters of cooperation intent.

Secretary-General Ainun of Indonesia’s Ministry of Education and Culture, Indonesian Ambassador to China Imron, Minister Counselor Liu Quan of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, Director Gatot of SEAMOLEC as well as ACC education official Shen Yubiao attended and addressed the seminar.

The seminar is part of the activities designed by the ACC for the delegation of the “Chinese vocational colleges’ trip to ASEAN” in Indonesia and Vietnam in 2013. The delegation will also conduct exchanges in Bandung and Yogyakarta of Indonesia as well as Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam.
