On 25 June 2013, H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, visited the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), where he met with the Ambassadors of ASEAN-Committee Beijing (ACB) and the ACC Secretary-General Ma Minqiang.

Chinese FM mentioned in his remarks during this first visit to the ACC that it was a great honour for him to look at the Photo Exhibition on ASEAN-China Relations, organized by the ACC. He has long been related to ASEAN. Many of the exhibited photos were warmly touched at heart since he got involved somehow in those historical moments. Over the past years, ASEAN-China has enjoyed close and cordial relations and it is believed that both sides will work harder together to bring ASEAN-China relations to a higher stage. 2013 is an important year since the Chinese new government just assumed its work and it marks also the 10th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Strategic Partnership. ASEAN remains to be the priority of Chinese foreign policy and China remains committed to work closely with all ASEAN Member States to further enhance ASEAN-China relations. China will continue to support the central role of ASEAN in regional cooperation. Chinese FM opined that he looked forward to a fruitful discussion on the future of ASEAN-China strategic cooperation at the upcoming ASEAN Post Ministerial Meeting (PMC)+China in July 2013 in Bandar Seri Begawan.
