Welcome New Representatives from ASEAN Member States to the ACC

The ACC would like to warmly welcome Mr. Tri Purnajaya, the representative from Indonesia, and Ms. Lada Phumas, the representative from Thailand, who assume their posts as the Director for Education, Culture and Tourism and the Director for Information and Public Relations of the ACC in the month of May and June 2013 respectively. 

Mr. Purnajaya have been working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia for 18 years. He has economic and international relations background and participated in many diplomatic and professional training courses, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia and the Ministry of External Affairs of India. He had been posted at the Indonesian Embassies in Brazil and New Zealand. Before coming to PR China, he was the Deputy Director, ASEAN Economic Cooperation, Indonesian MoFA.

Ms. Phumas has been working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand since 1994. She has gained experiences from her responsibility in various Departments of the Ministry. She had been posted at the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing in early 2000, and the Permanent Mission of Thailand to the United Nations in Geneva in late 2000. She had worked at  the Department of ASEAN Affairs altogether for 5 years. She was also in charge of raising awareness on ASEAN Community building and ASEAN's relations with its Dialogue Partners to the Thai community at large.

The ACC comprises 4 Divisions, namely; General Affairs Division, Trade and Investment Division, Education, Culture and Tourism Division, and Information and Public Relations Division, the two Directors positions of which are filled in as part of concrete commitments from the ASEAN Member States.
