From 17 November to 4 December, 2013, ASEAN-China Centre and China Central Television jointly sent TV crews to shoot tourism documentaries in Viet Nam. In addition to well-known Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Halong Bay, the crews also went to Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue, places less-known by Chinese travelers but with great potentials, to shoot landscapes, historical and cultural heritage sites and local delicacies.
The tourism documentaries were initiated by ACC to enhance mutual understanding and two-way travel between ASEAN and China. The footages shot in Viet Nam will be edited into two documentaries entitled “Discovery Southeast Asia-Viet Nam” and “Taste Southeast Asia-Viet Nam”, which are scheduled to be broadcast on CCTV in early 2014.
