PHNOM PENH, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA), the single listed company on the Cambodia Security Exchange (CSX), expected a 12 percent surge in profit in 2014, a senior official said Thursday.

Speaking at the annual PPWSA conference, PPWSA chairman Sim Nara said it is projected that the enterprise's net income will reach 10.89 million U.S. dollars this year, up 12 percent from 9. 68 million U.S. dollars last year.

PPWSA director-general Sim Sitha said the firm will expand clean water networks to two provinces, Kep and Pursat, in the near future.

The state-run enterprise is the first and only company that listed on the CSX, which was launched two years ago.

CSX is expected to get the second listed company next month. Grand Twins International (Cambodia) Co. Ltd., a Phnom Penh-based garment maker for U.S. athletic brands, announced last week that it would list on the stock market on May 29.
