On 8 July 2016, H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and representatives of ASEAN Embassies in China visited the Exhibition Hall of the 22nd China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair. H.E. Ms. Magdalene Teo, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to China, Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Viet Nam in China, Ms. Moungmixay Phonexay, Third Secretary of the Embassy of Lao PDR in China and Mr. Li Yuan, Director of Trade and Investment Division of ACC joined the visit.
The delegation visited the pavilions of ACC, Malaysia, Thailand, Viet Nam and Singapore, and exchanged views with the working staff of the pavilions. The diplomats were very glad to see the participation of ASEAN business people in the Lanzhou Fair, and expressed their gratitude to ACC for its efforts to set up the ASEAN pavilions and raise the profile of ASEAN products in China. They would like to join hands with ACC to further boost functional cooperation between ASEAN and Northwest China and benefit the people of the two sides. The delegation also visited Gansu Provincial Museum, Digital Exhibition Centre of Dunhuang Academy, and other cultural sites.
