On 2 August 2016, Unveiling Ceremony of the China-Cambodia Preschool Teachers’ Training Centre was held during the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week at Guiyang International Eco-Conference Centre. H.E. Mr. Pit Chamnan Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia, Mr. Liu Baoli, Secretary-General of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week Organizing Committee and H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre attended.
The Ceremony was presided over by Ms. He Yongqin, headmaster of Guiyang Preschool Education College. She gave a brief introduction on the exchange and cooperation between the college and ASEAN countries, as well as the preparation work done for the establishment of the Training Center. She said, under the support and guidance of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia, Guizhou Province Government and Guiyang City Government, Guiyang Preschool Education College signed the agreement on the establishment of the Training Center with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia in 2015. After the establishment of the Training Center, the college will strengthen contacts with Cambodia in preschool teachers’ training and research, Chinese language and Chinese traditional culture teaching and other areas. The college would make its own contributions to promoting the development of preschool education of China and Lao PDR, and strengthening exchange and cooperation of China-ASEAN preschool education cooperation.
