ACC Welcomed TV Crew from Five LMC Countries

On 18 May 2018, a delegation of 15 TV crew of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand, and Viet Nam visited ACC Secretariat. The delegation was on a 14-day trip to China at the invitation of the Chinese Association for Radio, Film & TV Exchanges of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China (CARFTE) for the coverage based on the topic of Jointly Building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) mechanism.

Mr. Vithit Powattanasuk, Director of Information and Public Relations (IPRD) of ACC, welcomed the delegation. He thanked CARFTE for organizing this reporting trip. He briefed the delegation on the history, structure, mandate and work of ACC and elaborated on IPRD's efforts to promote media exchanges, raise public awareness of ASEAN-China relations and deepen understanding and friendship between the people of both sides. Representatives from other divisions of ACC also introduced the activities and work plan of their own division in the areas of trade, investment, education, culture and tourism. The delegation thanked ACC for its thoughtful arrangements, expressed their interests in ACC's programme such as documentary Hi ASEAN and exchanged views with ACC officials on ACC's role in promoting ASEAN-China practical cooperation as well as LMC mechanism.

The delegation also visited the photo exhibition on ASEAN-China relations and the development of ACC.
