ACC Secretary-General Met with Ambassador of China in Singapore

On 14 May 2018, ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Secretary-General H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping met with H.E. Mr. Hong Xiaoyong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Singapore, to exchange views on further strengthening Singapore-China and ASEAN-China cooperation. Mr. Que Xiaohua, Cultural Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Singapore and Mr. Zhang Xuehai, Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations Division of ACC were present.

Secretary-General Yang Xiuping expressed her appreciation to the Chinese Embassy in Singapore for its strong support and assistance in the work of ACC for a long time and introduced the recent work of ACC. She said that to echo the 15th anniversary of ASEAN-China strategic partnership and the ASEAN-China Year of Innovation, ACC this year has designed 21 flagship projects, successfully held International Symposium on Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Strategic Partnership and the first ASEAN-China Media Cooperation Forum, and is about to hold ASEAN-China Belt and Road Business Forum: the First E-Commerce Cooperation Dialogue in Jakarta. ACC is willing to continue to work with all parties to forge ahead and promote friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between ASEAN and China in all fields, and make greater efforts to promote the well-beings of the people from both sides.

Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong commended the fruitful results of ACC’s work. He said that Chinese Embassy in Singapore will continue to strengthen communication with ACC and contribute more to the comprehensive and in-depth development of Singapore-China and ASEAN-China relations.
