ASEAN and China are good neighbours, good friends and good partners, linked by mountains and rivers. Ever since the launch of ASEAN-China dialogue relations in 1991, especially since the establishment of strategic partnership in 2003, ASEAN-China cooperation has advanced in all dimensions, at all levels and in multiple areas. The two sides have deepened political trust and reaped rich fruits in practical cooperation across the board. Among ASEAN’s many dialogue partnerships, ASEAN plus China stands out as the most vibrant pair with the most substantial cooperation.

“Today, the development of both ASEAN and China has entered into a new era, and ASEAN-China relations embrace new opportunities and broad prospects. Both sides are taking this opportunity to enhance the coordination of development strategies, pursue the Belt and Road Initiative and deepen economic, trade, innovation, people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation. In addition, both sides are striving to take ASEAN-China strategic partnership to a new level with the guidance of the ASEAN-China Strategic Partnership Vision 2030.” 

In this context, as the inter-governmental organization co-founded by ASEAN Member States and China, ACC will redouble its efforts, forge ahead and fully harness its role as a one-stop information and activities centre to further promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between ASEAN and China in the areas of trade, investment, education, culture, tourism, and information and media.
