On 8 August, 2018, during his visit to Tokyo to attend the ASEAN 51st Anniversary Symposium, H.E. Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met with H. E. Mr. Masataka Fujita, Secretary General of ASEAN-Japan Centre (AJC) and H.E. Mr. Lee Hyuk, Secretary General of ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC), and exchanged views on strengthening exchanges and cooperation among the three Centres.
Secretary General Masataka Fujita and Secretary General Lee Hyuk congratulated Secretary-General Chen Dehai on his assumption of office as Secretary-General of ACC, and expressed their expectations to continue to strengthen ties and expand cooperation with ACC and play active roles in promoting regional development and prosperity. Secretary-General Chen Dehai spoke highly of the important role of the meeting mechanism among the Secretary Generals of the three Centres and the positive achievements that have been made in the trilateral cooperation. He briefed on the recent work of ACC and expressed willingness to maintain close communication with the two Secretary Generals to jointly elevate the cooperation among the three Centres to a new level and achieve more tangible results.
