On 7 September 2018, a group of 18 members of the “China-Indonesia Commercial Cultural Integration Training Programme” visited the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC).
On behalf of ACC, Ms. Li Sa, official of the Trade and Investment Division (TID), warmly welcomed the delegation and briefed on ACC’s mandates and the recent work of TID. She said that this year is the 15th anniversary of ASEAN-China strategic partnership and ASEAN-China Year of Innovation. ACC is committed to promoting ASEAN-China practical cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, tourism, information and media. ACC has organized a series of colourful activities and achieved positive results. She also said that in recent years, exchanges and cooperation between China and Indonesia in economy and trade have become closer. Bilateral trade and investment have continued to grow, and China and Indonesia have made great progress in promoting practical cooperation in the fields of science and technology innovation, tourism, education and culture. ACC is ready to strengthen exchanges with all sectors in Indonesia to jointly promote Indonesia-China and ASEAN-China friendly cooperation in order to achieve more results.
The Indonesian representatives thanked ACC for the warm reception and praised ACC for its active efforts and important contributions to the promotion of the practical cooperation between ASEAN and China. Their understanding of ACC was enhanced through this visit they hoped to strengthen contact and cooperation with ACC to jointly play active roles in promoting friendly cooperation between Indonesia and China.
