Malaysia is the first ASEAN Member State to establish diplomatic relations with China. It is among the first countries to participate in the joint building of the Belt and Road. China is committed to pursuing a friendly policy towards Malaysia. The two sides have a solid foundation in cooperation in such areas as trade and investment, connectivity, education, tourism, etc., which has produced fruitful outcomes.

China-Malaysia relations are embracing broad prospects in the new era. China stands ready to join hands with the new government of Malaysia, continue to deepen the political and strategic mutual trust, take the opportunity of jointly building the Belt and Road, expand the width and depth of the traditional cooperation, so as to realize common development through win-win cooperation and bring more benefits to the people.
