Cambodian Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Met with ACC Secretary-General

On 19 November 2018, Mr. Kan Pharidh, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia met with Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) in Siem Reap. Mr. Ouk Sopron, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and Mr. Guo Chuanwei, Director of Trade and Investment Division of ACC were present.

Mr. Kan Pharidh welcomed SG Chen Dehai attending the workshop on promoting awareness of the Master Pan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 to CLMV agencies held in Siem Reap in Cambodia. He applauded the positive contributions of ACC to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields and hoped that ACC could further play the role of platform and jointly promote ASEAN-China and Cambodia-China friendly cooperation to achieve greater development.

Mr. Chen Dehai thanked the Cambodian government for its long-term support to ACC including sending an official to work at ACC. He recalled affectionately the profound friendship and traditional exchanges forged by the older generation of leaders of both sides, and said that China and Cambodia are good neighbors, friends, brothers and partners who can share weal and woe. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 60 years ago, the traditional friendship between the two countries has been consolidated with the passing of time. ACC stands ready to work together with the Cambodian side, continue to play a bridging role to make greater contributions to promote friendly cooperation and exchanges between ASEAN and China.
