ACC Participated in the 2nd Forum for ASEAN-China Private Higher Education Development and Cooperation

The 2nd Forum for ASEAN-China Private Higher Education Development and Cooperation, supported by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), was held in Sanya on 12 December 2018. The event was co-hosted by the University of Sanya (USY) and Southeast Asian Ministers of Education OrganizationRegional Centre for Higher Education and Development (SEAMEO RIHED).

The forum was attended by over 100 participants including Mr. Dai Yuming, Vice Mayor of Sanya, Mr. Yu Hongjun, Former Vice Minister of the International Departmentof Central Committee of the CPC, Dr. Chantavit Sujatanond, Centre Director of SEAMEO RIHED, Mr. Ji Ping, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Association for Non-Government Education, Ms. Wang Hui, Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the Organizing Committee of ASEAN-China Education Exchange Week, Mr. Lu Dan, President of USY and representatives from ASEAN countries. Ms. Zhou Hui, Deputy Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division of ACC attended the forum and read out congratulatory remarks from ACC Secretary-General Mr. Chen Dehai, saying that he hoped the forum would play a greater role in promoting more comprehensive and practical cooperation in private higher education between ASEAN and China.

During the event, Ms. Zhou Hui also exchanged views with Dr. Chantavit Sujatanond, Director of SEAMEO RIHED, Mr. Han Husheng, President of Education Equipment Committee of China Education Association of International Exchange, and representatives of private education associations of ASEAN countries.
