On 11 April 2019, ACC Secretary-General Chen Dehai attended the Global Partners’ Luncheon of China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Medicines & Health Products (CCCMHPIE).
Mr.Zhou Hui, President of CCCMHPIE, made a keynote speech on the development of Chinese healthcare industry. International partners including UNAIDS and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation shared their experiences in cooperation with China on healthcare. Promotion activities of key national medical parks in Huanggang of Hubei Province and Taizhou of Jiangsu Province were also held.
In his speech, Secretary-General Chen Dehai said that ASEAN and China have broad prospects for cooperation in trade and investment in the field of medicine and healthcare. ACC is ready to work with all parties to promote exchanges and cooperation in relevant fields between ASEAN and China.
About 100 representatives including officials from the embassies of Indonesia, the Philippines and other ASEAN Member States in Beijing, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions of the Asian, European, American and Oceanian countries in China, international partners and organizations attended the event.
