On 15 May 2019, the 10th China (Guangrao) International Rubber Tire & Automobile Accessory Exhibition was held in Guangrao County, Dongying City, Shandong Province. Mme. Ren Airong, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, Mr. Xu Yanbo, Deputy Party Secretary of China Chamber of International Commerce, and Mr. Zhao Zhiyuan, Mayor of Dongying attended the exhibition among 300 representatives from China and participating countries, international organizations and media circle. Mr. Guo Chuanwei, Director of Trade and Investment Division of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), attended the opening ceremony upon invitation.
Mayor Zhao Zhiyuan warmly welcomed the guests from home and abroad. He pointed out that rubber tires and auto accessories are competitive industries that draw on local strengths. Dongying is strengthening cooperation with well-known domestic and foreign enterprises to accelerate the integration and upgrading of rubber tire industry and vigorously promote brand building. Dongying will make great efforts to create sound business environment to better serve domestic and foreign investors.
After the opening ceremony, the guests visited the exhibition site and had face-to-face exchanges with the exhibitors. They also visited the leading rubber tire and auto accessory manufacturing enterprises located in the Guangrao Economic Development Zone.
The exhibition was co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Shandong Provincial People’s Government. With the theme of “Innovation Driven, Win-Win Results", this year’s exhibition covered an area about 48,000 square meters, with more than 700 exhibitors and 80,000 professional visitors. During the exhibition, 6 international conferences and forums were held, including the China (Guangrao) International Tire Day Forum, the China (Dongying)-ASEAN Rubber Tire and Auto Parts Industry and Investment Summit and the International Rubber Tire Technology Development Conference. ACC had assisted in inviting commercial counsellors of the embassies of ASEAN Member States including Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand, as well as representatives of Myanmar rubber industry to attend the exhibition.
