From 25 to 26 July 2019, co-organized by ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), the 3rd Partnership Workshop of SEAMEO-China TVET Cultural Twinning Programme was successfully convened in Guiyang with over 100 representatives from more than 50 TVET institutions of ASEAN and China present. Mr. Liu Baoli, Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat of Organizing Committee for the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW), Ms. Zhou Hui, Deputy Director of Education Culture and Tourism Division of ACC, Mr. He Xiuqian, Deputy Director-General of Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and Mr. Lu Yuan' an, Chairman of College Administration of Guizhou Polytechnic of Construction addressed the meeting.
During the workshop, ASEAN and Chinese vocational institutions shared information, had one-on-one communication, and signed 146 MoUs, agreeing to cooperate in fields of common interest. All the parties pledged to translate the MoUs into concrete actions, and draw strength from each other through mutual learning and long-term cooperation for common development.
Since 2017, the Workshop has been conducted for 3 consecutive years, and received strong endorsement and warm support of ASEAN and Chinese institutions.
