China's poverty alleviation online photo exhibition activity launched

The year 2020 is important for China's efforts in securing a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects and winning the battle against poverty.
 
In response to the initiative "China and ASEAN countries will forge a closer community with a shared future", a series of activities, "Secure a Decisive Victory in Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Aspects•Share China's Poverty Alleviation Program-ASEAN Media's View on China's Poverty Alleviation " will take place in September.
 
The activities are hosted by China Daily, co-organized by China Daily Website and supported by the ASEAN-China Centre and the China Internet Development Foundation.
 
China and ASEAN countries are closely tied by mountains and rivers, as well as unique cultures and long-standing friendships. We share a lot of similarities in geography, demography and industrial structure.
 
By exploration and practice, China has put forward its own train of thought in wiping out poverty, a challenge facing the whole world, and has contributed its own wisdom in achieving a better future for human beings.
 
"China's Poverty Alleviation Online Photography Exhibition" will be launched before other activities in the series, paying respect to the great cause of alleviating poverty in China's.
 
We are looking for works that present the spirit, practice and achievements of the Chinese people and the role models fighting poverty, as well as photos displaying the cooperation between China and ASEAN countries in anti-poverty programs. The specific requirements are as follows:
 
I. Time
 
Date: Before Sept 28, 2020
 
II. Subjects
 
1) The spirit of the self-reliant and unyielding Chinese people in the cause of poverty alleviation;
 
2) The major progress and great achievements made since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China;
 
3) The pioneers and role models of China's anti-poverty progress;
 
4) Achievements in anti-poverty exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.
 
III. Format Requirements
 
1) Format: JPG/TIF, the long edge of a single work must be no less than 3,000 pixels, and the size no smaller than 4 MB;
 
2) Number of works: One photo or a collection of photos (presenting one subject in several photos); the collection should have no more than six photos; if submitting multiple photos, please indicate the order of photos; you don't need to fit the photos together.
 
3) Description: Please describe each photo of your work in no more than 100 words in Chinese and English, respectively (count the words in Microsoft Office Word). Please include the title of the work, photographer, shooting time and location, figures and event in the photo in your description.
 
4) Please do not make any modification that may affect the authenticity, visibility and precision of the original photos besides moderate adjustment of tone, color and photo cropping.
 
IV. Submission
 
Please upload the work to Baidu Netdisk or NetEase Cloud disk and send the link to prcd@chinadaily.com.cn in the following format:
 
Format: The subject of the email should be ["China's Poverty Alleviation online photography exhibition" + your full name]. Please indicate the contact person, mobile phone, email, type of work (single photo or photo collection), description in Chinese and English, and the link to the work in the body of the message.

V. Notes
 
1) As this is a public benefit activity, there are no prizes for winners. If the works are selected by our editors, the photographers will be awarded a commemorative certificate of the "Secure a Decisive Victory in Building a Moderately Prosperous Society in All Aspects•Share China's Poverty Alleviation Program-ASEAN Media's View on China's Poverty Alleviation" activities - "China's Poverty Alleviation Online Photography Exhibition".
 
2) The host is authorized to use rights of the selected works. That means China Daily Website is authorized to publish or exhibit the submitted works;
 
3) The proprietorial right, copyright, and use rights of the selected works should be clear and undisputed and not infringe on the legitimate rights and interests of any third party. The provider of the photo shall be responsible for legal liabilities related to the proprietorial rights, copyrights, portrait rights, and reputation rights, and also is responsible for solving and compensating for related losses.
