ACC Attended the Opening Ceremony of China (Sichuan)-South & Southeast Asia Business Leaders Online Conference

On 25 September 2020, hosted by CCPIT Sichuan Council, the China (Sichuan)-South & Southeast Asia Business Leaders Online Conference and the 2020 Online Products Exhibition of South & Southeast Asia Countries was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
 
Mr. Zhang Xiaogang, former President of International Organization for Standardization, Mr. Iftikhar Ali Malik, President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Guo Chuanwei, Director of Trade and Investment Division of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) addressed the conference online.
Mr. Guo Chuanwei mentioned in his remarks that in the face of the COVID-19, China and ASEAN have supported and cooperated with each other, and two-way trade and investment have maintained an overall growth momentum, which has become a highlight of the global economy. ACC will continue to play its bridging role and strengthen exchanges with SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other regional organizations, to make unremitting efforts to promote practical cooperation between ASEAN and China.
 
Business leaders from ASEAN and South Asian countries including Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Viet Nam addressed the conference via video, expressing their confidence in strengthening cooperation to fight the pandemic and restoring regional economic development.
 
Relevant activities such as live-streaming promotion of Malaysian and Thai products, seminars on cooperation in agriculture food and high-tech industry, promotion conference on trade and investment opportunities of South and Southeast countries were also held at the conference.
