On 22 April 2021, the World Tourism Alliance (WTA)• Urban Tourism Dialogue was held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province both online and offline. Representatives from government bodies, diplomatic missions, tourism enterprises, think tanks and media joined the meeting. Mr. Shi Zhanyong, Deputy Mayor of Zhengzhou, Mr. Duan Qiang, Chairman of WTA, Mr. Liu Shijun, Secretary-General of WTA and well-known experts delivered keynote speeches.
With the theme of “Keys to Building a Regional Central City for Tourism”, the WTA•Urban Tourism Dialogue is one of the main activities under the framework of the 7th International Mayor’s Forum on Tourism-Zhengzhou, China. The representative of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) attendedthe Dialogue upon invitation, and had extensive exchanges with participants from various sectors on such topics as tourism destination building, rolesof media and urban tourism development along the Yellow River Economic Belt.
On 21 April 2021, ACC representative also attended the 7th International Mayor’s Forum on Tourism-Zhengzhou, China.
