ACC Held a Special Session of Online Briefings on Enrollment Policies for Indonesian Students

On 18 July 2021, the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) co-organized upon invitation a Special Session of Online Briefings on Enrollment Policies for Indonesian Students with the Embassy of Indonesia in China. Mr. Yaya Sutarya, Education and Culture Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in China, attended the meeting online. Ms. He Wei, Education Officer of the Education, Culture and Tourism Division of ACC, chaired the session.

Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of Indonesia to China, attended and addressed the opening of the meeting. He expressed his expectation for further enhancing educational cooperation between Indonesia and China and his wishes that more Indonesian students would get a better understanding of Chinese universities through this event and seize opportunities to study in China in the future. Mr. Yaya Sutarya introduced the overall process of applying for Chinese scholarships.

Six Chinese universities, namely Tianjin University, Dalian University of Foreign Languages, Harbin Normal University, Dongbei University of Finance & Economics, College of Chinese & ASEAN Arts of Chengdu University, and Ningxia University, successively delivered presentations on their general information, characteristic disciplines, latest enrollment policies and experience sharing of studying and living in China. The briefing lasted for three hours. Throughout the activity, the number of real-time audiences online maintained over 800 people while the peak number approached 900. According to the background statistics of ZOOM, a total of more than 2000 people participated in the meeting.
