ACC Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun Delivered Video Speech at the Opening Ceremony of 2022 China-Thailand “Chinese+Vocational Skills” Education Cooperation Forum

On the morning of 22 September 2022, the 2022 China-Thailand “Chinese+Vocational Skills” Education Cooperation Forum was successfully held. Experts and scholars from the fields of Chinese language education and vocational education in China and Thailand, and representatives from related enterprises attended the conference online, conducting multi-angle and in-depth discussions and exchanges and displaying the educational achievements of “Chinese+Vocational Skills” between the two countries in recent years. H.E. Mr. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), delivered a video speech upon invitation.

Mr. Shi Zhongjun stated that the China-Thailand “Chinese+Vocational Skills” organically integrates the multi-factor resources of policies, talents, technology and markets of both sides, for the aim of building an international training and development system for digital skill talents which combines standard development, curriculum construction, practical services, innovation and entrepreneurship. Through international cooperation in the integration of industry and education, the China-Thailand vocational education cooperation should be further promoted to a new level. ACC is ready to work with all parties to deepen exchanges and mutual learning in the field of digital talent training, promote mutual benefit and win-win results, and further contribute to the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Co-hosted by Yunnan Normal University and the Vocational Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, the forum aims to encourage more universities and enterprises in China and Thailand to participate in International Chinese Language Education, build a platform for international cooperation in the integration of industry and education, explore innovative paths for cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents between China and foreign countries, and deepen educational and people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN Member States (AMS).
