On 1st July 2015, the Secretary General of ACC, H.E. Mme Yang Xiuping attended the Opening Ceremony of the People-to-People Art Exhibition organized by China-Myanmar Friendship Association, Myanmar-China Friendship Association, Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC), People’s Government of Beijing Shijingshan District, and supported by ACC at Badachu Park, Beijing. Other prominent guests include Mr. Geng Zhiyuan, President of China-Myanmar Friendship Association, H.E. Mr. U Sein Win Aung, President of Myanmar-China Friendship Association, H.E. Mr. U Tin Oo, Honorary President of Myanmar-China Friendship Association, H.E. Mr. Thit Linn Ohn, Ambassador of Myanmar to China, Mr. Su Bensheng, Vice President of BPAFFC and Mr. Tian Liyue, Vice Chief Executive of Shijingshan District.
The Exhibition was a display of photos depicting the beautiful sceneries and colorful cultures of Myanmar, art works, costumes and children’s paintings from China and Myanmar, and the friendly people-to-people exchanges between China and Myanmar, one of the ASEAN Member States. During the Ceremony, Secretary General Yang exchanged views with officials from Myanmar and organizers of the event and discussed ways on co-organizing a rich variety of events in the future that would contribute to enhanced mutual understanding between its peoples.
This Exhibition which was open for public from 1-7 July 2015 was one of the highlights and series of activities marking the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar. ACC also attended the People-to-People Friendship Forum.
