ACC Signed an MoU with Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education

On 1 September 2014, Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) signed an MoU to boast a cooperation with Mr. Shen Jian, the Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education during the 7th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) in Guiyang, Guizhou Province. The two parties would fully play important roles as the platform for information and activities, and take advantage of highly qualified education resources and scholarship in Jiangsu Province to establish a coordinated mechanism, share information with each other, to jointly facilitate education collaboration between Jiangsu Province and ASEAN countries, as well as to promote a steady exchange and cooperation relationship in the areas of students studying aboard, teacher training, mutual visits and international conferences among colleges in Jiangsu Province and those in ASEAN countries. 

Since 2013, ACC has closely cooperated with Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, enabling to support many colleges in Jiangsu Province to participate in the activities of Chinese vocational colleges’ ASEAN Tour, organized by tACC, with the aim of establishing a cooperation platform between colleges in Jiangsu Province and in ASEAN countries, enhancing an internationalization of the colleges in Jiangsu Province, particularly the vocational colleges. In 2014, the colleges in Jiangsu Province have offered approximately 180 scholarships to students from ASEAN countries, the first and the second batches of 150 Indonesian students have enrolled in the universities and the vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province.
