Participants of the 2015 10+3 Training Programme on Understanding China visited ACC

On 21 May 2015, participants of the 2015 ASEAN Plus Three (10+3) Training Programme on Understanding China, which was co-orgainized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Ministry of Education of China and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), visited ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). The participants included government officials, scholars and representatives of business from 10 ASEAN countries, Japan and ROK. This was the second time that the participants of the 10+3 Training Programme on Understanding China visited ACC.

Ms. Huang Ying, Director of General Affairs and Coordination Division (GACD), Mr. Tri Purnajaya, Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division (ECTD), Ms. Lada Phumas, Director of Information and Public Relations Division (IPRD), and Ms. Deng Liyang, official of Trade and Investment Division (TID), briefed respectively on ACC’s mandate, its efforts in promoting ASEAN-China cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, education, culture and tourism, as well as information and public affairs. Mr. Gu Jiayun, Deputy Director of the International Relations Division of BFSU, introduced the background of the 10+3 Training Programme on Understanding China. 

ACC officials had an active interaction with the participants of the Training Programme. The participants expressed their appreciation for the warm hospitality of ACC and highly commended ACC’s contribution in pushing foward ASEAN-China Strategic Partership. Both sides exchanged views on the operation mechanism and relevant projects of ACC, and discussed how to further strengthen functional cooperation between ASEAN and China under the new situation. The participants also toured the exhibition on ASEAN-China relations and the development of ACC at ACC ASEAN Hall.
