Cultural Officials Attending 10+3 Workshop Visited ACC

On 21 August 2015, 26 cultural officials attending the 9th 10+3 Workshop on Cooperation for Cultural Human Resource Development organized by the Ministry of Culture of China, paid a visit by an invitation to ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). Mr. Sun Jianhua, Deputy Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division (ECTD) of ACC hosted a meeting between the participants of the Workshop and the representatives of the four ACC divisions. 

Deputy Director Sun of ECTD, Director Lada Phumas of Information and Public Relations Division (IPRD), Deputy Director Mouavixay Palee of Trade and Investment Division (TID), and an official of General Affairs and Coordination Division (GACD) briefed the participants on rules, functions and achievements of ACC in their respective divisions, and expressed the willingness in further collaboration with the relevant authorities to promote ASEAN-China cooperation on trade, investment, education, culture and tourism as well as information and public relations. 

Deputy Director Sun Jianhua said, ACC would like to maintain its support to the 10+3 cultural cooperation, and contribute to help promote mutual understanding and friendship among the peoples in the region. During the visit, Director Lada Phumas also guided a tour of ACC photo exhibition at the annex room of ACC ASEAN Hall with informative explanation on ACC’s history and achievements in the related areas.

The officials from ASEAN Member States appreciated ACC’s special arrangements for their visit. They raised many interesting questions with friendly advices on ASEAN-China cooperation during the Q&A session of the meeting. The guests said that their first visit and short stay in ACC had left them with deep impression on ACC and they learnt more about ACC’s achievements since its inception. They would tell their colleagues about what they saw and learnt at ACC, hoping there would be direct contacts and concrete cooperation between ACC and relevant organizations of their home countries in the days to come.
