Guangxi was embarked on constructing the Great International Channel to ASEAN, building a new strategic pillar of the opening-up and development of southwest and central-south China as well as a connecting window of implementing the “One Belt One Road” initiative. Guangxi would build on the important platform of the CAEXPO to expand cooperation with ASEAN countries. They expressed appreciation to ACC for its strong support to strengthen Guangxi-ASEAN exchanges and cooperation, and expected ACC to make new contribution to ASEAN-China friendly cooperation.

Secretary-General Yang applauded the important contribution made by the Guangxi Government in the development of ASEAN-China relations, and congratulated the successful convening of the 12th CAEXPO. She remarked that CAEXPO, in line with the new trends and demands of ASEAN-China relations, had breakthroughs and innovative events every year. CAEXPO had not only built a platform for cooperation in economy, culture, education, tourism, etc., but also drove the cooperation in production capacity, disability affairs, science and technology, environmental protection, youth and so on. CAEXPO had made great contribution to enhance ASEAN-China cooperation, build“One Belt One Road”, and promote prosperity and win-win cooperation in this region.

Secretary-General Yang highlighted that Guangxi, as a frontier of ASEAN-China friendly cooperation, was expected to make more efforts in further promoting the all-round cooperation between China and ASEAN countries. ASEAN-China Strategic Partnership entered the "diamond decade". Next year would mark the 25th anniversary of the ASEAN-China dialogue relations, which would bring about new opportunities to ASEAN-China relations as well as broader prospects for Guangxi-ASEAN cooperation. ACC was ready to cooperate with Guangxi Government and make joint efforts to build ASEAN-China Community of Common Destiny, and further promote ASEAN-China and Guangxi-ASEAN functional cooperation.
