ACC Secretary-General Met with Ambassador-designate of China to Nepal

On 1 November 2016, H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with H.E. Ms. Yu Hong, Ambassador-designate of China to Nepal.

Secretary-General Yang expressed her appreciation for H.E. Ms. Yu Hong’s strong support to ACC’s work especially when she was Consul-General of China in Surabaya, Indonesia. She briefed H.E. Ms. Yu Hong on ACC’s mandate and its recent works including ACC’s deep involvement in the 9th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW), successfully organized trade and investment missions to ASEAN countries, as well as invited ASEAN media delegation to make a reporting trip to China and so on. She noted that ASEAN-China relations were embraced with new opportunities of development and would enjoy broad prospects for cooperation.  Thus, ACC would continue to actively implement the consensus reached by the leaders of ASEAN and China, fully play the role of one-stop information and activity centre, strengthen communication with people from all walks of life, as well as make new contributions in pushing forward ASEAN-China functional cooperation and promoting friendship between the two peoples. 

H.E. Ms. Yu Hong said that ASEAN-China cooperation had a bright future. She was convinced that ACC would maintain the good work in order to make more achievements. She would continue to follow and support ACC’s work and work hard in the new post to contribute to the common development of the region.
