ACC Secretary-General Met with Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia

On 17 May 2018, H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Secretary- General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met with H.E. Mr. Xiao Qian, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia.

Secretary-General Yang Xiuping expressed her appreciation to Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and Ambassador Xiao Qian for their long-time support and assistance to ACC, and spoke highly of the achievements they made in promoting Indonesia-China and ASEAN-China relations. She said that Indonesia is a key member of ASEAN and plays an important role in the development of ASEAN-China relations. ACC is ready to cooperate closely with the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia and strengthen contacts and coordination with various sectors of Indonesia to explore new ways of deepening practical cooperation in various fields and make greater contribution to Indonesia-China and ASEAN-China relations.

Ambassador Xiao Qian highly commended ACC’s efforts to promote China-ASEAN practical cooperation in various fields and introduced the achievements of Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to Indonesia. He said that ACC is an important platform to promote friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between China and ASEAN. The “ASEAN-China Belt and Road Business Forum: the First E-Commerce Cooperation Dialogue” held in Jakarta was in line with the priority of China-Indonesia and China-ASEAN cooperation and met the development needs of all sides. The Chinese Embassy in Indonesia would like to work with ACC to continuously lift China-Indonesia and China-ASEAN cooperation to a new height.
