On 8 August 2023, H.E. Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) attended the ASEAN Day Celebration 2023 at the Malaysian Embassy in China. The event was presided over by Chargé d'Affaires ad Interim Sanmugan Subramaniam of the Malaysian Embassy. The Chinese Assistant Minister Nong Rong of Foreign Affairs, Indonesian Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun, Bruneian Ambassador Pehin Dato Rahmani, Thai Ambassador Arthayudh Srisamoot and Timor-Leste Ambassador Abrao Dos Santos, among the invited diplomatic envoys, attended the event to celebrate the 56th anniversary of ASEAN.
During the event, the promotional video Hello ASEAN produced by the ACC was screened to the audience.
