ACC Supported 2023 ASEAN-China Forum of Private Higher Education Development and Cooperation

From 5 to 6 December 2023, the 2023 ASEAN-China Forum of Private Higher Education Development and Cooperation and the 3rd Annual Meeting of ASEAN-China Alliance of Private Higher Education Institutions (ACAPHEI) was organized by Sanya College in Sanya, Hainan Province. The ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), the Department of Education of Hainan Province, the Sanya Municipal Government, the Chinese Association for Non-Government Education, the Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO RIHED), Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand and Indonesia served as guiding and supporting units. Deputy Director Li Yaying of the Education, Culture and Tourism Division (ECTD) of the ACC attended and addressed the Forum. Representatives of the guiding and supporting units, representatives of more than 20 private universities and institutions in ASEAN Member States (AMS) and more than 10 private universities in China joined the Forum.

The theme of this forum is “New Trend, New Partnership, New Pattern-Deeper Integration of Higher Education Community Leading to Synergetic Innovation”. The Forum and Annual Meeting aim to build a collective wisdom platform for representatives of universities and industry enterprises from ASEAN and China, as well as ACAPHEI members to engage in discussions and exchanges, sharing knowledge, experiences and resources, and promote the sustainable development of regional higher education.
